Treasures don’t belong in the trash!

It’s a new year and it’s time to streamline your wardrobe by throwing out the clothes that you don’t wear.

If you’re anything like me, you did not throw out all of the clothes you don’t wear. There are certain pieces that are SPECIAL!  Those cherished items that were once awesome and now you don’t know what to pair them with. Well, I will find a way to keep them!

Send me a photo of the item and I will find ways for you to incorporate it into your wardrobe.

Laura from Toronto: How do I make this bright, short ruffled skirt appropriate?

Answer: We’ve all been there, purchased a mini skirt that made us feel really hot but left little to the imagination and with very few occasions to wear it. It’s SHORT, it’s VIBRANT, it’s PERFECT for when you’re in college and 75% of your time is dedicated to going to parties. “Tots” awesome until we graduated from college and realized that “professional attire” does not include exposed thighs.

SOLUTION: Make it a dress

Pair a miniskirt with a matching top.

TIP: Finding tops and bottoms at the same store is a great way to find pieces in the same color palette.

Matching the top to the skirt will create a long line, making the skirt appear longer. Houdini and Cris Angel better watch their back, there’s a new magician in town.

Appear longer, not be longer. Avoid bending in this skirt…

Badgley Mischka ‘Kiwi; sandal I got on sale at Nordstrom but are available on amazon. DSW and Bluefly have similar ones in red and black.

The delicate shoes soften the look. Do you think this look is appropriate for going out to dinner?
